Dexcrest is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This Policy explains when and why we collect personal information about people who visit our website, how we use it, the conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.  We are both a data controller and a data processor.

We may change this Policy from time to time so please check this page occasionally to ensure that you’re happy with any changes. By using our website, you’re agreeing to be bound by this Policy.

This is our privacy policy so please be aware that should you follow a link to another website, you are no longer covered by this policy. It’s a good idea to understand the privacy policy of any website before sharing personal information with it.

Who are we?

Dexcrest Limited has 40 years of experience of providing commissioning engineering and completions consultancy services, and procurement solutions to the global oil, gas and energy industry. We partner with experienced senior engineers, developing engineering teams to service short, medium and long term contracts with global clients. Our reputation for professionalism and integrity is second to none.

How do we collect information from you?

We obtain information about you when you use our website and through our contact us form.

What type of information is collected from you?

The personal information we collect might include your name, address, email address, phone number, IP address, and information regarding what pages are accessed and when.  We only collect special category data with your permission should you become an employee or a consultant and only if required.

How is your information used?

We may use your information to:

  • Deal with enquiries for consultant vacancies
  • Seek your views or comments on the services we provide;
  • Notify you of changes to our services;
  • Process an application to join Dexcrest.

We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis in accordance with our Data Retention Policy.

Retaining your data

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.  Our data retention policy considers the amount of data, its nature and sensitivity, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure, the processing purposes and if these can be achieved by other means and legal requirements.

For tax purposes the law requires us to keep basic information about our customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for 7 years after they stop being customers.

In some circumstances we may anonymise your personal data for research or statistical purposes in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you. If you have had no communication with us for at least 10 years, we will delete all your personal information.  All personal data is retained in line with our Data Retention Policy.

What is our legal basis for processing your personal data?

Our lawful basis for processing your general personal data under article 6 of GDPR is as follows;

Consent of the data subject – We will directly ask for your consent to process data;

  • When you apply for a vacancy
  • When you submit a “Contact Us” query

Processing necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests of the data controller or a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights or freedoms of the data subject;

  • We will use your personal data to process and facilitate any “Contact Us” queries. If applicable and with consent, relevant parts of this information will be passed over to our consultant database, hosted by RecruiterBox.com.
  • All information stored is used purely for recruitment purposes only, unless otherwise instructed.

Who has access to your information?

Dexcrest requires access to personal information such as name, address, phone and email details in order to contact individuals regarding any applicable vacancies which may arise. It is also important to note;

  • We will not sell or rent your information to third parties.
  • We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

For information, Dexcrest do not hold mailing lists for purposes of newsletters/marketing.

How you can access and update your information

Your Rights

The GDPR provides the following rights for individuals:

Under the GDPR you have the right to request a copy of the personal information Dexcrest hold about you and to have any inaccuracies corrected or information deleted.  You will need to prove your identity with 2 pieces of approved identification which can be a:  passport, driving licence, birth certificate, utility bill (from last 3 months), current vehicle registration document, bank statement (from last 3 months) or a rent book (from last 3 months).  We will verify your identity, noting how and when we verified it, then we will immediately delete that data.  We will send you a form which clarifies what information you are looking for and to verify your identity.

If you can advise of the specific information that you require, we can process your request more quickly.  We will respond to your request within one month of you providing information that confirms your identity. You are obviously entitled to all your personal information.

We will respond within one month, giving you a copy of your data, why we have it, who it could be disclosed to, the categories of data it involves, and it will be in a format that you can access easily.  You have the right to clarify and correct the information as necessary.  It can be deleted providing that it is not required for legal or public interest reasons.  If your request is more complex, for example it involves other data subjects and we need their consent to release the relevant information we can extend our response time to three months, but we will inform you of this.  If they do not give their consent, we will anonymise this data or remove the relevant detail before sending this to you.  We will not charge for data subject access requests unless they are excessive or manifestly unfounded.  Then we will charge for administrative time only.

Security precautions to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of your information

We have put in place security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, altered, disclosed, or accessed without authorisation. Your data maybe used by the Dexcrest team who have a legitimate business need to know such data.   We will only process your personal data in accordance with our business processes where the safety of your data is paramount.  We have a data protection policy that is available on request.

Please note that we do not require your consent to share this information if we suspect criminal or unlawful activity, in these circumstances we will only contact the relevant organisations.

When you give us personal information, we take steps to ensure that it’s treated securely. Non-sensitive details (your email address etc.) are transmitted normally over the Internet, and this can never be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your information, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems.

Data Breaches

We have procedures in place to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any supervisory body of a breach if we are legally required to.

Use of ‘cookies’

Like many other websites, Dexcrest’s website uses cookies. ‘Cookies’ are small pieces of information sent by an organisation to your computer and stored on your hard drive to allow that website to recognise you when you visit. They collect statistical data about your browsing actions and patterns and do not identify you as an individual. For example, we use cookies to store your country preference. This helps us to improve our website and deliver a better more personalised service.
